How are we Different?

This is corrective therapy.  We are not placating the pain.  We are addressing it at it’s root.

To understand how we correct the issue, we must first understand how this has become an issue.

We are born in the fetal position and if you look at us as we age, we are returning to the fetal position.  We live our entire lives in forward flexion (sitting, walking, biking, driving, kneeling, running), everything we do is that knees to chest forward flexion movement.  Muscles have memory and over time they learn to stay contracted.  Contracted tissue is tender to the touch, restricts range of motion, pinches nerves – it causes pain.  Pain is not good, but it’s our body’s way of telling us it needs something.  It’s asking us for something, but no one taught us how to interpret what it’s saying.  We interpret pain patterns and range of motion restrictions.

Think of every movement you do every day as teaching the muscle bad habits and winding the tissue up.  You have to unwind, but most of us just keep winding and winding and winding until one day, we wake up in pain.

These treatments are a reset for your muscular system.  We release along lines of pull so that your system functions in balance, the way it was designed to, like when you were 19 and didn’t have pain.  We then teach you how to maintain this balance so you can feel your best everyday, for the rest of your life.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

We respectfully ask that you give the Bubble Method at least 24 hour notice if you must cancel an appointment.  Our therapists are in high demand and have wait-lists most days of the week, they also work solely on commission.  This is to protect their time and money, as they work extremely hard to go above and beyond for each and every client.

To avoid penalty or fee, clients must cancel appointments at least 24 hours prior to the time of service.

Example:  If a guest has a treatment scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday, the guest must call to cancel or reschedule by 1:00 PM Wednesday.

A credit card is used to hold your reservation and ensures our staff will be paid in the case of a no show or late notice cancellation.  Your credit card will not be charged prior to your arrival, and upon checkin, you may choose another form of payment.  In the case of a no-show, however, fifty percent of the full service price will be charged. To the credit card received at the time of booking.  Scheduling an appointment is your acceptance of these policies.

We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment so that you don’t feel rushed.

Arriving late will limit the time for your treatment, lessening its effectiveness.  As your treatment was reserved at a specific time, your treatment will end at its set time so the next client is not inconvenienced and the full treatment price will apply.

Parking is available in front of the building across St. Louis Street.

Please respect the privacy of our clients by placing your cell phone on silent or vibrate when entering.

We work on people of all ages.  Clients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Clients under the age of 18 must have consent forms signed by a parent or guardian.

Unless your child is scheduled for a service, we ask that you make alternate arrangements for their care during your treatment.  Children may not be left unattended.

Congratulations!  We do not offer prenatal massage.

In general, you should not eat before having a treatment.  If hungry, you could have a snack.

The treatments are more effective if the therapist doesn’t have to work around jewelry.  Necklaces risk getting broken and dangling earrings risk getting caught or pulled.

You will undress to your comfort level.  Therapists are trained in proper draping and will keep you covered at all times only exposing the area being worked.  Sensitive areas are worked through the sheet and blanket.  We promise your modesty will be preserved.

That is entirely up to you.

You should always say something immediately.  Therapists will treat you with dignity, consideration and respect.

As the muscles are releasing and the therapist is wringing the tissues, toxins are released into your system.  You will need to flush the toxins from your system.

Stick to your normal routine.  Showering that day is always a good idea, but you don’t need to hit the showers 20 minutes before your appointment.

I always say it’s my job to put myself out of a job.  If you have to keep coming back to me, I’m not helping you.

We are the kickstart that gets you on track and we teach you how to maintain the progress so that you can feel your best, everyday, for the rest of your life.

When working to get your system back to balance it is most effective to schedule appointments within 2 weeks.  This way we don’t lose progress and can build on what we’ve gained.  Once you are back to balance, treatments will only be on an as needed basis.

Muscles don’t work in a line, but picture a line in segments.  If the center segment becomes contracted, it pulls on adjoining segments and they become contracted too.  This process continues throughout the line.  If we just release a couple of those segments the client doesn’t get the relief they are looking for and it won’t last because the contracted portions just start pulling on what we’ve undone.

Everyone is different.  Some clients utilize the advice given.  Some clients have dysfunctions continually stimulating their issues, but are just thankful that they are not in constant pain anymore.  These times are what I would anticipate for the average client.  Some take less.  Some take more.

Headache/Migraine 2-3

Low back/Sciatica 2-3

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome like symptoms 1

Frozen Shoulder 4-5

Clients typically feel relief and progress immediately.  It just depends if the client goal is relief or getting back to a point of balance, which is easier for them to maintain from.

Yes, we are not going to pet you, but therapists always work within the tolerance levels of the client.  I always say it’s pain with a purpose instead of pain without end, which is where most clients find my table. The work is productive and results happen quickly.

Pain is not good, but it is your body’s way of trying to tell you what it needs, It’s asking you for something, but no one taught us how to interpret what it’s saying.

Contracted tissue is tender to the touch and we are checking the quality of the tissue, looking for the fibers creating dysfunction.  When we find them, we pause and wait for the fibers to release/lengthen.  When we initially locate contracted tissue, it may feel sharp.

This is your brain saying, “Right here, you found me.  Don’t leave me like this.”

As the fibers lengthen, the sharpness dissipates and the brain no longer needs to send the signal for help through pain.

If you feel like you are even broaching tensing against the work, ask your therapist to ease up.  We are trying to get the fibers to lengthen and if you feel the need to tense, we are working against each other.  There’s a happy, middle ground that is most effective.

Communication with your therapist is paramount for effectiveness.

About Sue

When I started school, I knew if I had to pet people for a living, I would shrivel up and die.  I wanted to effectively help people with their pain and teach them to feel their best everyday for their whole entire lives, but I couldn’t find anywhere to learn this.  As I began to unlock the capabilities of this type of work, more and more people were feeling relief from their pain without medication or surgery.  Many of which have lived with pain for most of their lives.  (Don’t take my word for it.  See it in the testimonials.)

The client that inspired me to open a business and train more therapists had suffered from migraines 21 days per month since she was a teenager – for decades. She had tried everything and was told, “For some people, this is just a part of life.”

After we worked together and she was feeling better, she asked me, “How much of my life did I lose because of this?”

In my opinion, what she went through was completely unnecessary.  Out of the hundreds of headache and migraine clients I have treated, it didn’t work for 2.  In my experience the vast majority of people suffering from migraines, don’t have to.  I wondered how many people just accepted that pain was just a part of their life because they didn’t know what to do.  I realized there were more people living unnecessarily with pain than I could help.

I’ve created a Bubble, outside of medication, that addresses pain at the root.  Drug free, therapeutic treatments designed for effective pain relief.  We specialize in headache/migraine, carpal tunnel like symptoms, and low back/sciatica issues.
